The 1,250km of line pipe are already welded and that project is at 74 per cent overall progress.

The support for the oneyear vocational training programme, aligned with PCK’s local content commitments for the project, is intended to enhance employability and promote sustainable livelihoods.

“Beyond delivering the pipeline, we are dedicated to creating lasting social and economic impact through initiatives that empower local communities,” he said.

EACOP Tanzania’s Local Content Manager, Ms Neema Kweka, highlighted the programme as a model of effective public–private collaboration.

“This initiative demonstrates our strong commitment to Local Content development.

“By aligning EACOP’s objectives with Tanzania’s national development priorities, we ensure that communities and institutions benefit directly from major investments such as EACOP,” she said.

The PCK successfully delivered the entire quantity in 16 batches over a two-year period (2023–2025). Throughout this time, the company demonstrated strong operational discipline, meeting all delivery milestones without any notable delays.

Their consistent, onschedule performance reflects a high level of professionalism and a steadfast commitment to safety, quality, and contractual compliance.

Launched in January, the initiative targets youth from communities along the pipeline corridor, aiming to equip them with practical, marketrelevant skills across eight specialised technical areas.

The event marked a significant milestone in EACOP and PCK’s ongoing efforts to invest in human capital development and create long-term socio-economic value along the pipeline corridor through expanded access to education.

Through this programme participants gained handson experience and certification that not only strengthen individual career prospects but also contribute directly to Tanzania’s national development goals and industrial growth agenda.
