
IRINGA: THE Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam, Former President Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, presided over the 17th graduation ceremony of the Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) in Iringa today, where he conferred various master’s and bachelor’s degrees to the graduates.
At the master’s level, he awarded the Master of Science with Education degree to four graduates: Joyce Dismas, Osia Peter Mwanyesya, Deogras Yonah Emmanuel, and Samwel Joseph Lungo. Additionally, two students—Mbazi Yonazi Senkondo and Joseph Athanas Luoga—received the Master of Science in Mathematical Modelling, while John Ngazime Josephat was awarded the Master of Arts with Education.
At the bachelor’s level, a total of 565 graduates received the Bachelor of Arts with Education degree. Another 365 graduates were awarded the Bachelor of Education in Science, 334 received the Bachelor of Science with Education, and 17 were conferred the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
At the climax of the ceremony, the Chancellor also presented a Certificate of Excellence to the top-performing graduate, Lekishin Koipa, who achieved a first-class pass with a GPA of 4.8—the highest score among all MUCE graduates for the year 2025.
