
BEAZIL: THE African Group of Negotiators on Climate Change (AGN) has underscored its commitment to ensuring that Africa presents a strong, united voice in global climate negotiations.
The group chair by a Tanzanian Dr Richard Muyungi stressed the need for continued political, technical, and financial support to help African countries overcome ongoing capacity challenges that hinder effective climate action and representation on the international stage.

Giving the remarks during the Group’s 30th anniversary celebrations held on the sidelines of the COP30 Conference in Belém, Brazil yesterday, Dr Muyungi who is also the Special Envoy and Presidential Advisor on Environment and Climate Change insisted that AGN will continue to protect Africa’s the interest on climate matters .

“AGN will continue to safeguard Africa’s interests while promoting practical and innovative solutions that respond to the continent’s vulnerabilities and contribute to effective global climate action,” Dr Muyungi underlined.
