DAR ES SALAAM: PEACE, stability, and tranquility have filled the commercial city of Dar es Salaam as citizens in various places have celebrated the festival seasons of Christmas joyfully with their various families, friends, and relatives.

The Dar es Salaam residents showed that their decision to endure peace and love within them is intentional by making way for the Christmas, Boxing Day, and the New Year celebrations.

As we all know, after 25, which is the celebration of Jesus’s birth, comes December 26, the gift-opening holiday known as Boxing Day.

The situation has been calm, with silence prevailing in the city center at Posta, unlike the usual state of these areas, which are typically bustling with people and vehicles moving back and forth to ensure economic and social activities continue.

Boxing Day was once a day to donate gifts to those in need, but it has evolved to become a part of Christmas festivities.

It originated in the United Kingdom and is celebrated in several Commonwealth nations.

Boxing Day is usually concurrent with the Christian festival of Saint Stephen’s Day.
