MBEYA: THE Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) has today, February 17, 2026, visited the City Park Garden project owned by BABITO Trading Company Limited being part of its commitment to promote a domestic investment in Mbeya,
The modern entertainment and leisure complex is located in central Mbeya within the City Park area, which covers 3.67 hectares. The project has cost 8bn/- and created 100 direct jobs, contributing to both economic and social value in the region.

Speaking on behalf of the company’s Director, Godlisten Msuya said the project includes three restaurants, three conference and event halls, two swimming pools, 93 commercial units, parking facilities, children’s playgrounds, and modern car wash facilities. He explained that the success of the investment was largely due to strong cooperation with TISEZA, which provided various incentives, including a 75 percent reduction in customs duty on imported machinery and production equipment.
Meanwhile, TISEZA Investment Promotion Manager Daudi Riganda called on Tanzanians to take advantage of the investment incentives offered by the authority. He said that following the example of BABITO Trading Company Limited would help increase the number of local investors in Mbeya and across the country, thereby strengthening sustainable national development.
