In a related development, residents of Dondwe Village in Mkuranga District expressed gratitude to the government for allocating 628m/- for the construction of a new secondary school in their community.

Residents testified that before the school was built, children had to walk as far as 18 kilometres to attend school in another village. School Headmistress Bahati Mgeta described the completion of the facility as a major achievement for the government’s efforts to create a more conducive learning environment.

“We are very grateful to have this school in place. Our students no longer have to walk long distances to reach school in the neighbouring village. This is a remarkable step that will uplift education standards in our area,” she said.
