DAR ES SALAAM: SMALL-SCALE traders at Magomeni Market, in Dar es Salaam, have expressed satisfaction with government-backed loans managed by the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women, and Special Groups through NMB Bank.
The traders spoke up during a visit by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, Dr John Jingu, who toured the market to meet them and see firsthand how they have benefited from the loans aimed at strengthening and expanding their businesses.
During the visit, Dr Jingu visited several stalls, listening to the traders’ success stories and pledged the government’s commitment to continue creating a supportive environment for access to loans for special groups, particularly women and youth, to boost employment and stimulate economic growth among low-income citizens.

“ I am happy to see you continue to benefit from these loans. The government aims to help you grow your capital and expand your businesses,” the PS said.
