
MBULU: PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has today, March 2, 2026, inspected the Mother and Child building worth 6.3bn/-at Haydom Lutheran Hospital in Mbulu District, Manyara Region.
Speaking after the inspection, Dr Nchemba said the government recognizes the significant role played by religious organizations, including the Lutheran Church, in contributing to community welfare.

“The government acknowledged the importance of granting tax exemptions to institutions engaged in this work because they help strengthen social services.You play a crucial role in saving the lives of Tanzanians,” he said.

The project aims to improve the environment for maternal and child healthcare by adhering to modern medical standards and patient safety, ultimately reducing maternal and child deaths and easing congestion for patients needing these services.
The church-run hospital has continued to be a key partner to the Government in improving community health services, including referral and specialized care for residents of Manyara Region and neighboring regions.
