
MOROGORO: Education coordinators and heads of primary and secondary schools have been urged to fully enforce student re-entry guidelines and the 2014 Education and Training Policy (2023 Edition) to ensure no child is left out of the education system.
The call was made in Morogoro Region by the Assistant Director of School Registration at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Tanzania, Patrick Leyana, when opening a training session on behalf of Education Commissioner, Mr Lyabwene Mtahabwa.

Speaking at the training, Mr Leyana said the updated policy promotes inclusive, student-friendly education and gives dropouts a second chance to resume their studies.
Additionally, he said that the November 24, 2021, directive by President Samia Suluhu Hassan allows students who had left school, including pregnant girls and those facing social challenges,s to return to school, which has expanded access to education in the country.
Moreover, he urged participants to intensify community awareness, ensure safe school environments, and closely monitor the progress of returning students.
