
DAR ES SALAAM: THE health sector cooperation between the Comoros government and Muhimbili National Hospital (Upanga and Mloganzila) has continued to strengthen following the official visit of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health from Comoros, Soudjay Mohamed, who visited to learn and exchange experiences in the provision of advanced care services.
The Permanent Secretary has had the opportunity to witness the development and great capacity of Muhimbili Hospital in the provision of modern medical services.
Speaking during the visit, Soudjay expressed his delight at the high level of advanced care and advanced care provided by MNH and added that the progress achieved in the hospital is a good example for East African countries and even other developed nations.

“We are pleased with the technology, expertise, and service delivery systems we have seen here. The Comoros government is keen to continue its partnership with Muhimbili to build the capacity of our experts and improve health services for our citizens. We congratulate the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, for making a major revolution in the health sector in Tanzania,” said the Secretary-General
For her part, the Executive Director, Dr Delilah Kimambo, has indicated that MNH is ready to continue the partnership for the benefit of both parties, while emphasizing that the hospital is ready to receive experts from Comoros for training and exchange of experiences, which will help strengthen health services in the East African Region and the islands.
The visit has been described as an important step in strengthening health diplomacy between Tanzania and Comoros, while opening up more opportunities for cooperation in medical training, research, and the provision of quality health services to the citizens of the two countries.
