DAR ES SAAAM: BENEFICIARIES of the Strategic Account Management Training are expected to have in-depth practicable skills on how to win and retain clients as Tanzanians seek a global-level business appeal.
This impactful session is slated on February 28th in Dar es Salaam, targeting account managers and those interested in grasping such skills from various business entities and suppliers.
In his media briefing today, February 22, 2026, Hadithi Lab Managing Partner and Lead Trainer Mr Edward Shila revealed that the trainees will be equipped with updated skills on how to win and retain clients in this competitive business industry.
“Winning clients is hard, but the hardest thing is to maintain them for an extended period of time.
“Strategically, it takes up to three years for clients to be won by agencies, but sometimes, unfortunately, these clients are lost within the first year, not because the work is hard but rather because the relationship is broken,” he said.
He added: “Account management has evolved over the years…it is not just about coordination but also how you can be able to get clients to trust you, deliver work on time, and help clients to grow.

“Your account managers are the most important people as they are your front-line protecting the revenue that you worked hard to get, and they take risks for the sake of helping businesses ppto grow.
“As such, this training will equip beneficiaries with facts on how to build strong and lasting relationships with clients, how to manage expectations and workflow, how to grow the accounts, and demonstrate value,” he said.
According to him, strong account management skills are critical because they directly impact client retention, insisting that many businesses focus heavily on acquisition but overlook the value of nurturing existing relationships.
“Poor account management often leads to lost clients and, ultimately, revenue loss. When done well, it strengthens trust, deepens partnerships, and creates sustainable growth,” he said.
