DAR ES SALAAM: EXIM Bank Tanzania has officially launched its two-month festive season card-usage campaign, titled “Chanja Kijanja, Dili Ndio Hili.” This campaign, which runs from December 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026, aims to encourage customers to embrace cashless payments.
Additionally, the bank noted that the campaign also aims to reward users of Exim Mastercard cards through POS machines and online payment platforms during the period of increased festive-season shopping.
Speaking during the launch, Exim Bank’s Head of Personal Banking, Andrew Lyimo, said the campaign demonstrates the bank’s commitment to offering simple, secure, and beneficial services to customers who use digital payment channels.
“Through ‘Chanja Kijanja, Dili Ndio Hili, we want to make everyday payments easier while giving customers a chance to win various prizes this festive season. This initiative reflects our dedication to promoting a digital payment culture and enhancing customer experience across the country,” Mr Lyimo said.

Explaining the prices of participants, he said that Weekly Prizes, five (5) customers will each win 100/-, Monthly Prizes, ten (10) customers will each win 200/-.
He also announced a Special Cashback Days package where customers will receive cashback depending on their transaction value on Black Friday – November 28, 2025, Cyber Monday – December 1, 2025, and Christmas Day – December 25, 2025.
Mr Lyimo also stated that there are Grand Prizes where participants stand a chance to win 5m/-, 10m/-, and 15m/-.
Elaborating on the importance of the campaign in advancing digital payments, Exim Bank’s Head of Alternative Channels and Digital Transformation, Silas Mtoi, said the campaign is more than just prizes; it aims to transform how Tanzanians experience digital payments.
“We want customers to feel the convenience, speed, and safety of using their card every time they pay, whether in-store or online. By increasing card usage, we are driving the shift toward a cashless economy and enabling customers to transact more securely. Exim Bank’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Stanley Kafu, stated that customers using Exim cards will also receive special rewards when shopping at Shoppers and Village Supermarket, as well as seasonal discounts at various dining and entertainment venues which includes popular spots such as Karambezi Café and the airport CIP Lounge, where Exim Bank customers can enjoy premium services while traveling during the festive season.

Furthermore, Mr Kafu highlighted the strategic importance of the campaign noting that the campaign is a key driver in their digital transformation agenda.
