
ARUSHA: PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba will this weekend begin a three-day working tour of Arusha Region from February 22 to 24, 2026,wheree will inspect and launch development projects worth 194.2bn/-.
According to Arusha Regional Commissioner Amos Makalla, the tour will involve the inspection and inauguration of projects in the water, education and health sectors, as well as business and transport infrastructure.
Makalla said that in Arumeru District, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction of student dormitories at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology.
In Longido District, he will receive a progress report on the implementation of a major water project expected to serve residents from Sinya Ward to Namanga Town.

The Prime Minister will also visit the One Stop Border Post at the Namanga border to assess the progress of cross-border services.
In Arusha District, Dr Nchemba will lay the foundation stone for the construction of the modern Kilombero Market and inspect the ongoing construction of the modern Bondeni City Bus Terminal before addressing residents.
The Regional Commissioner has called on residents of Arumeru, Arusha and Longido districts to turn out in large numbers to welcome the Prime Minister and participate in the development activities scheduled during the tour.
