DAR ES SALAAM: THE Dar es Salaam Regional Administrative Secretary, Mr Abdul Mhinte, has hailed the cooperation between the government and the private sector, saying it is vital in achieving inclusive development.
The RAS made the statement today, February 26, 2026, in Dar es Salaam when receiving a donation of medical equipment and supplies worth over 40m/- for district and regional referral hospitals noting that the contribution will greatly benefit citizens and forms part of the implementation of an inclusive economic vision aimed at uplifting all citizens without discrimination.

Additionally, he said that vulnerable groups must be empowered by providing their essential needs to ensure that no one is left behind in the nation-building journey.
The RAS ensured the government’s commitment to continue collaborating with various stakeholders to strengthen the health sector and improve social services, particularly for groups with special needs.

Speaking on behalf of the donor, GSM Foundation CEO, Faith Gugu, said the donation is part of giving back to the community and that the equipment will be distributed to six hospitals in Dar es Salaam, as well as to the Association of Persons with Albinism and the Association of the Blind, to improve service access and help these groups live more comfortably.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Association of Persons with Albinism in Dar es Salaam, Gaston Mcheka, expressed gratitude to the foundation, saying the support will help reduce the challenges they face in accessing essential services.
