Dr Kisenge noted that the conference will offer significant benefits to both the healthcare sector and Tanzanians at large. In addition to strengthening cardiac care services, it will provide an opportunity to promote medical tourism and showcase investments made in Tanzania’s health sector.
“This conference will contribute to improving the quality of cardiac healthcare services in the country while also creating economic opportunities through medical tourism and investment in the healthcare sector,” he said.
He added that the event will serve as an important platform for sharing knowledge and introducing new technologies in heart treatment, while highlighting Tanzania’s achievements in healthcare delivery.
Meanwhile, Dr Idd Lemah, Chairperson of the Conference Organizing Committee, encouraged healthcare professionals from various disciplines to participate in the event and benefit from discussions aimed at improving cardiovascular healthcare services.
The Chairperson of the Scientific Committee, Dr Tatizo Waane, said the conference is expected to be among the largest cardiovascular health gatherings in Africa, bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, and stakeholders from different countries.
“Through this conference, Tanzanians will benefit not only in terms of healthcare but also economically due to the increase in visitors and the various activities associated with the event,” Dr Waane said.
The conference is expected to strengthen regional collaboration in cardiovascular medicine, promote innovation in healthcare, and further position Tanzania as a growing hub for medical excellence and medical tourism in Africa.
