
DODOMA: TANZANIA is rolling out an expanded legal aid campaign focused on easing family disputes, with marriage, divorce, and inheritance cases identified as key pressure points.
Minister for Constitutional and Legal Affairs Dr Juma Homera said the second phase of the Samia Legal Aid Campaign will prioritise legal education, advice, and assistance to help citizens resolve everyday disputes.
Speaking ahead of the launch in Zanzibar, Dr Homera said domestic conflicts and inheritance disputes continue to drive family breakdown and social tension in many communities.

The campaign aims to promote reconciliation by helping citizens understand their rights and resolve disputes through lawful channels.
He said the government will expand access to legal aid services nationwide, noting that many conflicts can be prevented through stronger legal awareness.
