DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzania Police Force has urged traders and the community in general to continue to maintain peace and tranquility in the country at all times and avoid actions that could jeopardize the peace of the country because peace is an important pillar in the development of the country and each individual
The call was given by the Senior Assistant Commissioner of the Police Force, SACP Christina Musyani from the Community Police Commission, Police Headquarters in Dodoma when she met with bag sellers and transporters who provide services at the Kariakoo Main Market.
SACP Musyani called on each of the groups within the market to be ambassadors for peace and to inform the market management or the Police Force in advance so that such actions can be controlled immediately and avoid possible harm.

“I thank you for continuing to maintain peace and dignity in this market, you are very important people in nation building, the market leadership has recognized you and allowed you to do business in this market, it is your responsibility to protect that trust and make the Dar es Salaam region safe at all times” said SACP Musyani
SACP Musyani has noted that the Force will continue to collaborate with the community in dealing with criminals because the first security guard is the citizen himself, so their responsibility is to provide timely information.
The Police Force has had a system of providing education on various security issues to market traders, an act that has helped to make the market safe and calm at all times.
