DAR ES SALAAM: THE Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism has introduced a range of promotional offers and tourism packages for visitors attending its pavilion at the ongoing 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), commonly known as Sabasaba, as the exhibition enters its fifth day.

The initiative includes special discounted tourism packages that allow visitors to access various tourist attractions across Tanzania at lower costs compared to standard rates, in a move aimed at boosting domestic and international tourism.

Speaking at the exhibition grounds along Kilwa Road in Dar es Salaam, the Chairperson of the Ministry’s 2026 Sabasaba Special Committee, who is also the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) Marketing Director, Ernest Mwamwaja, said the ministry is committed to reaching both Tanzanians and international visitors by creating practical opportunities to experience the country’s tourism offerings during the fair.

He said the packages have been designed to suit different visitor needs and destinations, with detailed information being provided directly at the ministry’s pavilion within the exhibition grounds.

“We have introduced various packages and offers as a way of giving back to the community that has continuously supported our tourism and conservation efforts,” Mwamwaja said.

He added that following a visit by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr Hassan Abbasi, to the ministry’s stands, all institutions under the ministry are now fully prepared to provide services at full capacity to visitors attending the fair.

According to the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE), the exhibition, which began on June 28, 2026, is expected to be officially opened on July 3, 2026, and run until July 13, 2026.
