ZANZIBAR: ZANZIBAR’S Minister of State in the President’s Office – State House, Dr Saada Mkuya Salum, has called on staff of the e-Government Agency (e-GAZ) to enhance their performance and ensure that all government services are fully digitised.
Dr Mkuya said during a meeting with the agency’s staff as she formally introduced herself following her recent appointment by President Hussein Mwinyi.
The event took place over the weekend at Sheria House in Mazizini, Urban West Region. She expressed satisfaction with the performance of key digital systems under the agency’s management, including Zan-Malipo, e-Procurement, BAMIS, e-Government platforms, the e-Office system and the Government Mail System, noting that they are operating efficiently.
The minister further assured the staff that the government remains committed to resolving the challenges facing the agency to strengthen its overall efficiency.

“Let us show commitment to deliver the best services to our people,” she emphasised.
The Permanent Secretary in the President’s Office – State House, Saleh Juma Mussa, underscored the importance of discipline, ethical conduct and adherence to public service regulations in achieving the agency’s strategic goals.
e-GAZ Director General, Mr Said Seif Said, reaffirmed that the agency is a key driver in Zanzibar’s journey toward full digital transformation.
