DAR ES SALAAM: THE Oryx Gas Tanzania (OGTL) has reaffirmed its commitment to improving services by upgrading infrastructure and expanding its distribution network, aligning with the agenda of promoting clean energy for better health, a cleaner environment, and sustainable development.
Speaking yesterday at an event in Dar es Salaam, where prizes were awarded to customers who won various awards in the GESI YENTE campaign, OGTL Sales and Marketing Manager, Mr Shaban Fundi, emphasized the company’s efforts to promote clean energy usage.
“In Tanzania, there is a goal to have 80 per cent of the population using clean cooking energy by 2034, and as Oryx, we are committed to achieving this through strategic efforts to ensure our services reach all citizens through our agents.”
Mr Fundi highlighted that over one million customers have participated in the GESI YENTE campaign, sending messages via cards placed on Oryx gas cylinders.
He warned customers to be cautious of unscrupulous agents who might switch their cylinders, urging them to keep their Oryx cylinders safe.
