
KARATU: THE ruling CCM has called on citizens to safeguard peace, unity and national cohesion, warning against being influenced by agendas that do not support the countryโs development goals.
Speaking at a public rally in Karatu District, Arusha Region, the Secretary of the National Executive Committee (NEC) for Ideology, Publicity and Training of CCM, Kenani Laban Kihongosi, said peace and stability remain the foundation of Tanzaniaโs progress and every citizen has a duty to protect them.
Emphasizing on the matter, Mr Kihongosi stated that without peace there would be no room for economic development in societies.

Moreover, he urged citizens to remain engaged in productive economic activities while avoiding actions that could undermine national security, unity and social harmony.
โDevelopment cannot be achieved without stability, businesses, agriculture, transport and tourism all depend on a peaceful environment,โ he stated.
According to him, it is the responsibility of every Tanzanian to contribute to maintaining peace for the country can continue to grow and prosper.
