DODOMA: THE MINISTER for Finance,  Dr Hamisi Mussa Omar has said the Tanzanian government has continued to empower citizens economically by providing loans to various groups of youth, women and people with disabilities, where until April 2026, it  has provided loans worth 135.8bn/- to 13,062 groups through loans derived from 10 percent of the council’s internal revenue.

Speaking during the presentation of the Government’s Proposals on the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for the Year 2026/2027, today, June 11, 2026 in parliament in Dodoma, Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar said the government continues to strengthen budget planning and implementation by taking into account the real needs of all citizens.

” In this regard, the Government has begun the implementation of the Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) system. The aim is to ensure that women and men, girls and boys, as well as people with special needs, benefit equally from the resources and services provided by the Government in bringing about inclusive and sustainable development.

Ambassador Khamis said the government has launched a support center for the acquisition of equipment/products and exports that provides services to small and youth entrepreneurs, as well as investors who need support in promoting business activities and investments.

 In addition, the Center aims to facilitate access to capital, foreign markets for locally produced goods, simplify the transportation of goods into and out of the country, as well as facilitate the acquisition of raw materials, machinery and essential equipment.
