DODOMA: THE Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) is using the ongoing 2026 Public Service Week Exhibition to raise public awareness on energy and water services, digital innovations and the national clean cooking energy agenda.

The exhibition, which officially opened today, June 16,2025 at Chinangali Park Grounds in Dodoma, will run until June 23 and brings together public institutions to showcase services and engage directly with citizens.

Speaking on EWURA’s participation, the Authority’s Director of Human Resources and Administration, Ms Hawa Ramadhan Mniga, said the event offers a valuable platform for interacting with the public and enhancing understanding of EWURA’s role in regulating the energy and water sectors.

She said visitors to the EWURA pavilion will receive information on various services offered by the Authority, including digital systems that have been introduced to improve service delivery, efficiency and responsiveness.

“Citizens who visit the EWURA pavilion will have the opportunity to learn about the different digital systems used by the Authority in service delivery, as well as ongoing improvements aimed at enhancing efficiency, speed and the quality of services provided,” Ms Mniga said.

She noted that the exhibition also provides an opportunity for the Authority to educate stakeholders on their rights and responsibilities in the regulated sectors, while collecting feedback that can help improve service delivery.

Ms Mniga said EWURA is also highlighting the importance of clean cooking energy as part of national efforts to increase access to environmentally friendly and affordable energy solutions.

She explained that promotion of clean cooking energy supports the government’s target of ensuring that 80 per cent of Tanzanians adopt clean cooking energy by 2034.

According to her, the Authority continues to work with stakeholders in promoting awareness and creating an enabling environment for wider adoption of clean cooking technologies across the country.

She further called on members of the public, development partners, investors and other stakeholders attending the exhibition to visit the EWURA pavilion and learn more about the Authority’s regulatory functions and services.

“We encourage citizens and stakeholders from various sectors to visit our pavilion, ask questions and gain a better understanding of the services provided by EWURA,” she said.

The annual Public Service Week Exhibition serves as a platform for government institutions to showcase achievements, innovations and reforms aimed at improving service delivery and strengthening engagement with the public.
