DAR ES SALAAM: A new push to turn youth creativity into real economic opportunities will take shape in Dar es Salaam tomorrow as hundreds of young innovators, entrepreneurs, and artists gather for the Tanzania of Value Festival.
The festival comes at a time when many young Tanzanians are searching for new pathways to employment and business growth, with organisers positioning creativity, technology, and innovation as key tools for economic empowerment.
Held at Mlimani city conference hall, the event will bring together young entrepreneurs, private sector leaders, development partners, and policymakers to discuss how emerging talents can be supported to build sustainable ventures.
Former Prime Minister and Presidential Advisor on Social Affairs, Kassim Majaliwa, is expected to officiate the festival, which will include discussions on barriers limiting youth participation in economic opportunities and possible solutions.

Beyond the conference sessions, the festival will give young people a platform to pitch ideas, connect with potential partners, access training, and compete for awards recognising promising innovations.
The event will also showcase Tanzania’s creative economy through fashion, painting, acrobatics, and traditional performances, according to festival preparations coordinator Malick Sangura.
International and local entertainment will headline the celebrations, with Ugandan music star Jose Chameleone among the expected performers.
Organisers say the festival is designed not only as a celebration of talent but as a platform to transform ideas into opportunities.
