MOROGORO: THE Minister of State , Prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG) Prof Riziki Shemdoe has urged university students to be honest and patriotic when they are employed in the government to serve the people or get leadership opportunities to serve the nation.
Prof Shemdoe made the call to the youth while opening the Youth Leadership Forum on behalf of Prof Palamagamba Kabudi, Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament, Coordination and Persons with Disabilities) which is being held at the Mzumbe University Hall in Morogoro, organized by the Tanzania Leadership Foundation (TLF).

“My youth, my children, my younger siblings, strive hard to be righteous and patriotic because if you fail to be righteous and patriotic, you will not be able to remain in the positions you will be trusted to serve,” emphasized Prof Shemdoe.
Prof Shemdoe urged the youth to be humble when they get the opportunity to serve the people because it will not cost them anything to listen to and serve well a citizen who follows the service, adding that it will not be productive for a young person to be arrogant when they get the opportunity to serve the public.

In addition, Prof Shemdoe urged all the youth in the country not to give up, not to be discouraged, to take early action (pro-active) for anything they see can help them instead of waiting to be told to do it and adding that, the youth should protect the country with their status and wealth because there is no other nation they will be more proud of than the motherland which is Tanzania.
“The government led by President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan continues to create a better environment for the youth by strengthening educational infrastructure, skills training and enabling them to liberate themselves economically through 10 percent loans provided by local councils in the country, so he has urged the youth to take advantage of the loan opportunity while they continue their studies.
