NAIROBI:  TANZANIA is positioning itself for increased investment flows after highlighting reforms and opportunities aimed at strengthening its business environment at the MNL Africa Leadership Circle Forum 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The forum, held for two days, brought together policymakers, business leaders and investment stakeholders from across Africa to discuss ways of increasing investment flows, expanding digital finance, encouraging innovation and strengthening economic integration through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) represented the country at the high level gathering, with its Board Chairman, Ambassador Dr Aziz Ponary Mlima, taking part in a panel discussion on investment competitiveness across the continent.

Dr Mlima explained that investors are increasingly looking beyond financial incentives when choosing destinations, with greater focus now placed on policy stability, reliable infrastructure, efficient institutions and effective systems that support business operations.

According to him, Tanzania is implementing reforms aimed at creating a more predictable investment environment and improving conditions for both domestic and international investors.

On thenother hand, the forum also recognised the contribution of TISEZA Director General Gilead Teri in advancing investment promotion and economic development initiatives across Africa. The recognition was received on his behalf by Dr Mlima.

TISEZA said its participation in the forum demonstrates Tanzania’s efforts to expand regional partnerships, attract new investment opportunities and support Africa’s economic transformation through trade, innovation and private sector growth.
