DAR ES SALAAM: THE Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Sikhyon Kim, has visited the Immigration Services Headquarters in Kurasini and held discussions with the Commissioner General of Immigration, Dr Anna Makakala, on strengthening migration cooperation between Tanzania and the Republic of Korea through KOICA.
The discussions were held at the Immigration Office in Kurasini, Dar es Salaam, and focused on identifying areas of cooperation that can enhance the implementation of immigration functions for both countries.
During the meeting, Sikhyon Kim pledged continued cooperation through exchange programmes for skills and experience between Tanzanian immigration officers and their counterparts in the Republic of Korea. The initiative is aimed at improving efficiency and professionalism in the execution of immigration duties.

On her part, the Commissioner General of Immigration, Dr Anna Makakala, welcomed the KOICA Director to the Immigration Department and assured him of close cooperation, particularly in immigration-related matters and institutional development.
The discussions are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation in the immigration sector between Tanzania and the Republic of Korea through KOICA.
