
ZANZIBAR: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has today, July 27, 2026 sworn in several public officials during a ceremony held at the State House in Tunguu, Zanzibar.
Among those sworn in was Dr Latifa Mohammed Khamis, who took the oath of office as Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Vice President’s Office responsible for Union Affairs.
Prisca Burton Lwangili was also sworn in as Deputy Permanent Secretary in the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance.

Other appointed officials, including Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) Director General Aisha Dachi, took the Public Leadership Integrity Oath before President Samia delivered her remarks following the swearing-in ceremony.
The event was attended by senior government officials and other public leaders.
