DAR ES SALAAM: PLANS are underway for Tanzania and Oman to strengthen their bilateral ties in the area of energy.

This was disclosed in a discussion between Tanzania’s Minister for Energy, Deogratius Ndejembi, and the Ambassador of Oman to Tanzania, Saud Al-Shidhani in a meeting held at the sub-ministry’s office in Dar es Salaam today, February 17, 2026.

The discussion of the two leaders focused on strengthening and expanding cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector.

During the talks, they discussed a range of issues, including professional experience exchange, training for experts, extraction technologies, and management of gas and oil projects.

According to a statement from the ministry, the main purpose is to accelerate development through the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) and the Oman Petroleum Development Company (PDO).
