VICTORIAL FALLS: THE Tanzanian High Commissioner to Zimbabwe, Suzana Kaganda, accompanied by the Commissioner for Electricity and Renewable Energy, Innocent Luoga, led the Tanzanian delegation in a welcome session at the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Sustainable Energy Week Conference held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

Opening the preliminary sessions of the conference, Zimbabwe’s Minister of Energy, July Moyo, welcomed all participants and urged them to make thorough preparations ahead of the official opening scheduled for February 25, 2026. Minister Moyo said the conference is being held under the theme: “Promoting Regional Economic Growth through Clean Energy and Efficient Energy Use.”

The SADC Sustainable Energy Week brings together ministers and various energy sector stakeholders from member states to discuss and promote opportunities in sustainable energy, as well as programs covering the entire value chain of the sector.

The conference is expected to focus on discussions regarding the implementation and management of clean energy policies and the efficient use of energy. The sessions are scheduled to conclude on February 27, 2026, in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
