DAR ES SALAAM: NGORONGORO Crater has solidified its status as an elite global destination, securing the prestigious Traveller’s Choice – Best of the Best Award by Tripadvisor
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) announced this earlier today, May 29, 2026 in Dar es Salaam.
The award is among Tripadvisor’s highest honours, given to attractions that receive outstanding reviews from tourists worldwide.

“Ngorongoro Crater: Top rated attraction in Africa, 2026 TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice-Best of the Best Award,” the NCAA statement read.
The recognition further strengthens Ngorongoro’s status as one of Tanzania’s leading global tourism destinations, boosting its appeal to international visitors and investors in the tourism sector.
Additionally, the award also reflects ongoing efforts in environmental conservation, preservation of natural heritage and the promotion of sustainable tourism within the Ngorongoro area.
