DODOMA: NEWLY appointed Chief Court Administrator Dr John Jingu has pledged to strengthen justice delivery by building on ongoing reforms and introducing measures to improve efficiency, accountability and public confidence in the Judiciary.
Speaking during a special management meeting at Judiciary Square in Dodoma yesterday, Dr Jingu said he was committed to preserving the gains achieved under previous leadership while embracing new ideas and systems to enhance service delivery.
“I accept this responsibility with great humility. I understand the weight of the task and the high expectations attached to it. To me, this role is not merely a duty but a service to the nation,” he said during the official handover ceremony that also marked the retirement of outgoing Chief Court Administrator Professor Elisante Ole Gabriel.
Dr Jingu said justice delivery should go beyond legal interpretation and be guided by humanity, ethics and respect for human dignity.
Chief Justice George Masaju said the Judiciary would continue strengthening its services with support from the government, commending President Samia Suluhu Hassan for increasing budget allocations, appointing more judges, expanding employment opportunities and improving working conditions for judicial officers.
