
DAR ES SALAAM: NATIONAL Arts Council (BASATA) has bid farewell to Tracy Nabukeera, who will represent the country at the Miss Supranational 2026 competition in Poland.
The send-off ceremony, organised by Millen Privé & Co. Lifestyle in Dar es Salaam, brought together stakeholders from the arts and beauty sectors to wish her success.
During the ceremony, the BASATA Senior Arts Officer, Abel Ndaga, said the government wishes Tracy best of lucks as she represents the country in the international stage.
“We have come to support Tracy and present her with the national flag. We have faith in her, she will proudly represent the country. We are praying for her success and believe she will perform well,” he said.

Ndaga also urged Tanzanians to vote for Tracy throughout the competition to improve her chances of winning. He added that the arts sector contributes significantly to the economy by creating jobs, generating income and increasing government revenue, reaffirming BASATA’s commitment to supporting the industry.
Meanwhile, national competition organiser Millen Magesa said Tanzania’s participation in Miss Supranational 2026 marks the country’s first appearance in the international pageant.
She said Tracy’s participation provides an opportunity to promote Tanzania’s tourism, culture and the talent of its women, while inspiring young girls to pursue their ambitions with confidence and determination. Tracy departed for Poland on Monday to begin her campaign, with Tanzanians encouraged to support and vote for her throughout the competition.
