
DAR ES SALAAM: THE Automobile Association of Tanzania (AAT) has today, July 23, 2026, officially launched the Euro Cables Kisarawe Rally ahead of its official flag-off on August 1st, 2026.
To acquire the title sponsorship, Euro Cables provided a 10m/- package to the organisers in a brief ceremony held at the company’s office in Dar es Salaam today.
The director of the event, Irfan Aladin, thanked the title sponsor, Euro Cables, and the event’s co-sponsors: Azam TV and Picol.
According to Aladin, Euro Cables Kisarawe is the second round of this year’s National Rally Championship (NRC) to be run on the dusty roads of Kisarawe district, about 45 km southwest of Dar es Salaam.

“We express our sincere thanks to Mr Zaki Fazal of Euro Cables, who is also the event’s patron, and AAT for their support. With their backing we hope to stage a thrilling event this time around,” he said.
Maisam Fazal, one of the event’s organizers, said during the launch that over 15 drivers have already confirmed their participation while the organizers expected the number to reach over 25 cars during the official flag-off.
The 2025 season’s defending champion, Ahmed Huwel, and the two former champions, Randeep Singh and Manvir Birdi, have been listed for the two-day showdown as top title contenders.
