DAR ES SALAAM: THE Bank of Tanzania (BoT) Museum has firmly established itself as a vital tool for public education in the financial sector to the extent it attracts visitors from outside the country.

This week team of experts from the Bank of Uganda, the Tanzania Institute of Bankers (TIOB), and the National Institute of Transport (NIT) visited the Bank of Tanzania Museum in Dar es Salaam, where they learned about the history of money and the history of the Central Bank since its establishment on June 14, 1966.

During the visit, the experts were briefed on how the Bank of Tanzania has contributed to the country’s economic growth as well as the various reforms implemented in the financial sector.

The Bank of Tanzania Museum continues to serve as an important tool for public education, attracting students, researchers, and various stakeholders in the financial sector from within and outside the country, along with the general public.

The museum is open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
