DAR ES SALAAM: A delegation of businesspeople from the Republic of Korea has visited the Tooku Garments, which manufactures jeans, to observe various stages of the production process.

During the visit, the delegates were received by the Investment Officer responsible for East Asian countries, Kasimu Mohamed Said, who guided them through the factory.

The facility is operated by investors from China and produces high-quality jeans for international markets.

Tanzania’s Tooku Garments factory is among the major investment projects that have created numerous employment opportunities for Tanzanian youth while also equipping them with skills in various aspects of garment production.

The Korean delegation, led by the Chairperson of KOIMA, Ms. Youn Young Mi, is in the country to explore available investment and business opportunities in Tanzania, to strengthen economic cooperation between the two nations.

Later today, November 26, 2025, the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Korea are expected to sign a Cooperation Agreement before the conclusion of the business delegation’s visit.
