DAR ES SALAAM: THE National Planning Commission has held discussions with development partners in Dar es Salaam aimed at strengthening development cooperation and improving the efficiency of implementing national plans.

Opening the meeting, today April 2, 2026 the Permanent Secretary in the President’s Office – Planning and Executive Secretary of the National Planning Commission, Tausi Kida, said the discussions are intended to build a shared understanding of Tanzania’s development priorities as outlined in the National Development Vision 2050.

She noted that the meeting also seeks to enhance coordination between the government and development partners, while ensuring proper alignment between development programs and national plans.

“We want to exchange views on areas of cooperation and agree on approaches that will further strengthen our unity and efficiency in implementing Vision 2050,” said Dr. Kida.

Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Samwel Shelukindo, stated that Tanzania remains committed to continuing collaboration with development partners in implementing various national development initiatives.

The meeting is expected to serve as a key platform for strengthening cooperation between the government and development stakeholders, particularly as Tanzania advances toward achieving its long-term economic and social development goals.
