DAR ES SALAAM: The Dr Salim Ahmed Salim Centre for Foreign Relations ( CFR) in Tanzania had hosted the delegation from the College of Air Force of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as part of their study tour to the country.

The Nigerian delegation was received recently by the Acting Director of the Centre, Dr Anita Lugimbana and other senior officials of the Centre.

In her remarks, Dr Lugimbana welcomed the delegation and described the visit as a historical one and a reflection of the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between Tanzania and Nigeria.

“The bilateral relationship between the two countries dates back to the liberation struggles of African countries and has continued to be strengthened during post colonialism and apartheid era, following the footprints of our ancestors and fore father’s. Since Nigeria shares historic ties with Tanzania, particularly in their roles as Frontline states, we value the friendship and cooperation and we are committed to strengthernig it further” added Dr Lugimbana.

Correspondingly, the head of delegation of the Air Force College Commodore Sheshu Mohamed Chindo, stated the purpose of the visit to Tanzania and the Centre; he expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome they were given and for the wonderful presentation they attended .

He said, it was a great interactive session which led to an interesting and constructive discussion focused on “the Intergrating Emerging Technolgies for National Security”.
