DODOMA: OWNERS of guest houses, hotels, and lodges across the country have been directed to register all incoming guests using National Identification Authority (NIDA) IDs as part of strengthening national security and safety.
The directive was issued in Parliament following a motion raised by Dodoma Member of Parliament Pascal Chinyele, who emphasized the need to strengthen guest registration systems in accommodation facilities.
In another development, the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office for Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disabilities, Deus Sangu, has instructed the Inspector General of Police, Camillus Wambura, to ensure that regional, district, and ward police commanders implement robust strategies to curb any activities that could threaten peace in their areas.
