Additionally, the minister said that the 50th anniversary of the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair marks an important milestone in Tanzania’s economic journey, noting that for five decades the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) has connected Tanzania with global markets by promoting the country’s products, services and investment opportunities.

“TanTrade is now shifting its focus from simply marketing existing products to identifying market demand before production, enabling Tanzanian producers to manufacture goods that meet international market needs,” she said.

Kapinga also welcomed Daniel Francisco Chapo, who attended the golden jubilee celebrations as Guest of Honour, saying his presence symbolises the enduring friendship between Tanzania and Mozambique, built on a shared liberation history and now strengthened through trade, investment, the Southern African Development Community and infrastructure projects such as the Ruvuma River Unity Bridge.
