
DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA have extended the loan deal of striker Selemani Mwalimu from Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca, the club’s Media and Communications Manager Ahmed Ally confirmed yesterday.
He announced during a press briefing ahead of Simba Day that Mwalimu will remain at the Msimbazi Street side for the 2026/27 season as Simba continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
At the briefing, Ally unveiled that this year’s Simba Day celebrations will take place on August 8.
The annual event is expected to feature the official presentation of the club’s squad ahead of the new Mainland Premier League season.

Mwalimu joined Simba on loan from Wydad Casablanca and impressed during his first spell with the club, convincing the technical bench to retain his services for another season.
The extension provides Simba with continuity in attack as they prepare for domestic and continental competitions in the 2026/27 campaign.
Further details of the agreement between Simba and Wydad Casablanca were not disclosed.
