DAR ES SALAAM: AUROBINDO AKSC and Alliance Caravans have booked their places in the Petrofuel TCA Caravans Cup 2026 final after impressive performances in the Super Six stage, setting up a blockbuster title clash in one of Tanzania’s most competitive domestic cricket tournaments.
The championship final will be played on Sunday, August 2, at the TCA Arena, University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), marking the culmination of five weeks of thrilling cricket featuring eight teams.
Alliance Caravans marched into the final in commanding fashion, completing the Super Six stage unbeaten with a comprehensive 84-run victory over Aruti Aces. After piling up an imposing 182 for two, Alliance’s disciplined bowling attack bundled out Aruti for just 98, underlining the consistency that has defined their impressive campaign.
Aurobindo AKSC secured the second final berth with a convincing 43-run triumph over Mapito Upanga SC. After posting 163 for six, they restricted their opponents to 120 for nine, thanks largely to Riziki Kiser’s outstanding four-wicket haul. His match-winning spell earned him the Ras Logistics Player of the Match award and sealed Aurobindo’s place in the title decider.

Elsewhere, Novum Lions ended their campaign on a high with a 35-run victory over Tossil SCC. Umar Shaikh starred with an excellent all-round display, scoring 39 runs before claiming three wickets as Novum successfully defended a total of 166 for six.
The Super Six phase delivered high-quality, fiercely contested cricket, with the race for the final remaining alive until the closing round. Alliance Caravans stood out with an unbeaten run, while Aurobindo AKSC rebounded strongly from an early setback to earn their place through consistent performances with both bat and ball.
Beyond the team battle, attention now turns to the prestigious PigaBet Player of the Series Award, which recognizes the tournament’s most outstanding all-round performer based on batting, bowling, fielding, and overall match-winning contributions. The recipient will be announced following Sunday’s final.
Tournament representative Girish Kumar praised the standard of competition and its impact on domestic cricket.
