DAR ES SALAAM: THE Chartered Institute of Customer Management (CICM) has named categories to be won in the 3rd edition of Tanzania Service Excellence Awards (TSEA) 2026, scheduled to kick off its official kick start on Friday, February 13th in Dar es Salaam.

Organised by the CICM, the awards aim at strengthening customer experience by equipping professionals with essential skills and best practices.

Addressing reporters in the city today, February 9, 2026,  the CICM Board Chairperson Ms Yolanda Urio, said their presence in the country is to elevate customer center culture.

“We do provide training, thought leadership, certification pathway, and a platform for knowledge sharing.

“In such doing, we support organisations in improving service delivery, enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sustainable business growth that aligns with global customer experience-based practices,” she said.

Ms Urio continued: “Our presence here reflects growing recognition that customer experience is no longer an option but rather a strategic driver of trust, competitiveness, and sustainable growth.”

On his part, CICM Regional Business Development Manager for Africa, Mr Timothy Mupotsa, said the awards reflect improved customer satisfaction in Tanzania, as evidenced by the Tanzania National Satisfaction Index Report 2024.

“This shows that Tanzanians are increasingly embracing the importance of quality service across industries,” he said, adding that over 40 corporates from 28 sectors are expected to be recognised during the event.

He explained that the evaluation process includes nominations from customers and stakeholders, mystery shopping, and a rigorous adjudication process overseen by industry experts and legal advisors to ensure fairness and credibility.

Winners will receive certificates and trophies in recognition of outstanding customer service excellence across sectors such as Tourism and Hospitality, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Education, Construction, ICT, Transport, Retail, and Insurance, among others.
