MOSHI: AS part of his ongoing working visit to inspect various development projects in the Kilimanjaro region, the Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has today inspected the construction of the Spencon–Mabogini–Kahe–Chekereni road, which stretches 31.25 kilometers.

During his inspection, the PM instructed the road to be transferred from the Tanzania Rural and Urban Road Agency (TARURA) to the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) so that it can be upgraded to tarmac standard.

Speaking on the need for the upgrade, he said that the road serves as a bypass and will significantly reduce congestion in Moshi town centre.
