ARUSHA: OMAN Embassy Attaché in Tanzania, Abdulrahman Salim Algaad, has praised the natural beauty and conservation efforts of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, describing his visit to the world-renowned attraction as a fulfilment of a long-held dream.
Algaad, who visited the area with his family, witnessed the unique tourism treasures found in Ngorongoro, recognised as one of Africa’s leading tourism destinations.
During the visit, he experienced diverse attractions including rare wildlife in their natural habitat, the Big Five, forests, waterfalls, cultural heritage sites, ancient history, the Ngorongoro Geopark and other conservation features.
He said the experience exceeded his expectations, noting that what he had imagined about Ngorongoro matched the reality of its exceptional beauty and uniqueness.
Algaad commended ongoing conservation initiatives that have enabled Ngorongoro to maintain its international reputation as a globally recognised heritage site with three international designations.

Receiving the diplomat, Senior Assistant Conservation Commissioner responsible for Tourism Services and Marketing at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), Mariam Kobelo, said efforts to engage various stakeholders continue to yield positive results.
She said visits by diplomats and officials from local and foreign missions have increased awareness of Tanzania’s tourism potential and strengthened international partnerships in the sector.
Kobelo added that such visits help promote Tanzania globally, enhance tourism cooperation, and advance economic diplomacy through stronger international engagement.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area continues to attract visitors from across the world due to its unique combination of wildlife, natural landscapes, cultural heritage and conservation significance.
