ARUSHA: THE Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) is set to host the 25th Ordinary Summit of the East African Community (EAC) Heads of State tomorrow, March 7, 2026, to discuss key issues affecting the bloc.

The high-level meeting will convene Heads of State from member countries of the East African Community, including Samia Suluhu Hassan, William Ruto, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Paul Kagame, Évariste Ndayishimiye, Salva Kiir Mayardit, Félix Tshisekedi and Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

The summit is expected to provide a platform for regional leaders to review progress in the implementation of EAC programmes, strengthen cooperation among partner states and discuss strategies to advance regional integration.

Hosting the summit underscores Tanzania’s continued role in promoting unity and cooperation within the regional bloc, as well as positioning Arusha, the headquarters of the EAC, as a key centre for diplomatic and regional policy dialogue.

The meeting is also anticipated to address economic cooperation, trade, peace and security, as well as development initiatives aimed at enhancing prosperity among member states of the regional community.
