LUSAKA/ ALGIERS: TANZANIA has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with African partners after its ambassadors to Algeria and Zambia formally presented their credentials to the host governments this week.

Tanzania’s Ambassador to Algeria, Mobhare Matinyi, presented copies of his credentials to Algeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ahmed Attaf in Algiers on May 26, 2026.

Following the ceremony, the two officials held discussions on enhancing cooperation and diplomatic relations between Tanzania and Algeria.

Meanwhile, Tanzania’s Ambassador to Zambia, Cyprian Luhemeja, presented his credentials to Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema during a ceremony held at State House in Lusaka on May 27, 2026.

President Hichilema commended Tanzania for its development achievements and strong leadership, while praising the longstanding partnership between the two countries in key sectors including transport, energy, trade and investment.

He also pledged continued cooperation with Tanzania to ensure the relationship remains beneficial to the people of both countries and the wider region.
