ARUSHA: YOUNG Africans will take on Fountain Gate FC today in a Mainland Premier League action at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium, with both coaches anticipating a fiercely contested battle as they chase crucial points.

The Jangwani-based side are second in the table with 63 points from 26 matches, just one point behind leaders Simba, but Young Africans have a game in hand, setting up an intense two-horse title race.

The interim coach, Abdihamid Moallin, has warned his players against underestimating Fountain Gate, insisting their opponents have enough quality to cause problems.

“Fountain Gate is a complete team and we have to approach the match with great caution.

“We must remain calm, disciplined and focused throughout the game if we want to secure all three points. Every match at this stage of the season is important and we cannot afford to relax,” said Moallin.

Fountain Gate Head Coach Fred Minziro believes his side is growing stronger with every game and is confident his players can produce a competitive performance against the defending champions.

In their last five matches, Fountain Gate have registered two wins, one draw and two defeats.
