DAR ES SALAAM: THE President of the Tanzania National Chamber of Commerce (TNCC), Vincent Minja, has been elected Vice President of the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PACCI), representing the East African region for the 2026–2028 term.
Minja was elected during the Fifth PACCI General Assembly held in Fez, Morocco, which brought together leaders of chambers of commerce and industry from across Africa to discuss strategies for strengthening intra-African trade, promoting investment, and enhancing the role of the private sector in driving economic growth.
In his new role, Minja will represent 14 East African countries: Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Comoros, Seychelles, Mauritius, Madagascar, and Sudan.

Speaking after his election, Minja described the appointment as a great honor for both Tanzania and the country’s private sector, saying he would use the position to strengthen regional and continental trade cooperation.
He added that he will prioritize creating more trade and investment opportunities for Tanzanian businesses while promoting greater participation of the private sector in African trade platforms to support the continent’s economic development.
