MOSHI: THE Minister for Health Mohamed Mchengerwa has begun a four-day working tour of Kilimanjaro Region, where he has inspected and laid foundation stones for key development projects aimed at improving education and healthcare services.
During the tour, which started on Thursday, Mchengerwa inspected the construction of three classrooms at Lungwana Primary School and laid a foundation stone for the construction of Same Nursing College.
The minister was accompanied by Kilimanjaro Regional Commissioner Nurdin Babu and Same District Commissioner Kasilda Mgeni as they assessed progress of the projects designed to improve learning environments and expand training capacity for health professionals.

Mchengerwa highlighted the government’s continued investment in various sectors under President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s leadership, saying significant achievements have been recorded within a short period.
He called on residents of Kilimanjaro and Tanzanians in general to continue supporting government initiatives and development projects aimed at improving social services and people’s livelihoods.
The minister’s visit is part of efforts by the government to monitor implementation of development projects, assess progress and address challenges affecting service delivery.
